- 79.5 million people were forcibly displaced in 2019 (UNHCR).
- 57% of the world’s refugees come from just 3 countries: Afghanistan, South Sudan and Syria. Medair works in all three places.
- 40% of displaced people are children.
- Medair works in the world’s largest refugee camps including Kutupalong refugee camp in Bangladesh – home to more than 860,000 people.
